Heden Santa Apolónia

Heden is located in close proximity to the beautiful Lisbon Cruise Terminal building – near Santa Apolónia train station. The ground floor is a restaurant and gastro bar by the famous Portuguese Chef Marlene Vieira.

Doca Jardim do Tabaco, Terminal de Cruzeiros de Lisboa

Edifício NE, 1º Piso

1100-651, Lisbon

How to get there?

Bicycle

Our Santa Apolónia space is located along the bike lane that runs through Lisbon’s waterfront and we have a bicycle park available right in front of the building, ready to receive your bikes right after a tour around the riverside.

Public Transport

We advise all our users to use public transport - either bus, metro or train. Each one has a stop less than 10 minutes walking distance from Heden. Santa Apolónia is a station that receives trains from all corners of Portugal. Visit it!

Car Parking

The frontdoor parking is dedicated to Ironhack's teachers and staff. However, additional public parking is available next to the Terminal as well as in front of Lux Frágil, only a few minutes walk from Heden. If needed, you can talk to your community manager to find out more.

Your Community Manager

Meet Tatiana and Nadia! Your Community Managers. When she is not at the reception or common areas ready to help you, Tatiana is probably skating around Lisbon or looking for the next cool bar that plays her Brazilian favorites! Nadia is our organizing queen, that can only be corrupted by an amazing burguer join. And she takes care of Santa Apolónia and the events at Heden

Schedule & Access

Heden Santa Apolónia has a new digital access to make it easier for you to access our space. This link has all the necessary information for you to setup your access: https://docs.heden.co/access/

The access is limited during the week from 7am to 11pm, and Saturday from 10am to 6pm. On Sundays the workspace is closed. You can count on space in your classroom or in the common area during your course period. After that we don’t guarantee space on campus for you to keep working.

If you have any questions you can always talk to your PM or one of your Community Managers.

Very Important Note: make sure that the entrance and the terrace doors are properly closed when leaving the space, to ensure the safety of everyone.

About the Space

Ironhack’s workspace within the building is denoted on the below diagram. Your specific classroom allocation should have been communicated to you by your PM but do not hesitate to reach out to one of our Community Managers if you have any doubts or questions:
Printer
Kitchen & Coffee
Common Area

Common Area – As a coworking space, some areas of the building are allocated for shared common use by various companies and members. The kitchen, lounge and terrace areas are to be enjoyed by all. Please be mindful of cleaning up after using these areas and keeping conversation volume at reasonable levels to not disturb the ones around you. During the pandemic times we are living in, the use of masks in the common areas is advised.

Kitchen & Coffee – All kitchen equipment is ready for your use, so make yourself at home. Students have a dedicated fridge with Ironhack’s logo on it. The use of the stove is exclusive for events, but feel free to heat your food in one of our microwaves. Flavored water, organic fruits, tea, coffee and milk are always available in the kitchen area. Please make sure you put the utensils in the dishwasher, after you use them. It is important to keep our space clean for the other members 🙂

Important note: every Saturday, items left in the fridge will be donated or thrown away to ensure Heden Santa Apolónia is always clean to welcome you back! The coffee station should be very intuitive, but if in doubt Tatiana will be happy to help make the first essential cup.

Printer – Fair use. If you need help using the printer, there are instructions on top of it. If you still need assistance, please reach out to your Community Manager.

Comfort & Productivity

Our space has been designed to provide a pleasant, comfortable and efficient experience for everyone. We are located in one of the most temperate Mediterranean climates and our building takes full advantage of this fact. A bio-climatic facade regulates the sun, the heat and the wind and provides a naturally comfortable work environment most of the time, without the need for mechanical ventilation or air conditioning. This keeps our indoor environment pleasant and healthy with a constant supply of fresh air – especially relevant in pandemic times.

On very hot or very cold days, we do make use of our air conditioning system. Please speak to one of the Community Managers if your space needs any regulation.

Circulation & Safety (COVID-19)

In Heden, your safety and comfort are our priority, so in order to ensure social distancing, the tables in the common areas are properly signposted/divided and signposted indicating the flow of circulation has been arranged along the space to indicate the correct path to take.

Wi-Fi & Connectivity

Your team has a dedicated symmetrical 1GB network which is accessible across the whole building.
In case you experience a temporary speed bump after relocating within the space, allow a few seconds for your device to automatically switch to the nearest Access Point, if that takes too long, please try to switch your wifi off and back on.
